Union Minister Shri Pralhad Joshi officially took charge of the Ministry of Education at Kartavya Bhavan on July 26, 2026. In addition to the Education portfolio, Minister Joshi also holds charges of the Union Ministries of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, and New and Renewable Energy. Following his assumption of charge, Shri Joshi chaired a review meeting with senior officials of the Ministry to assess the implementation of various schemes and initiatives. Union Minister of State for Education Shri Jayant Chaudhary attended the review meeting along with Dr Vineet Joshi, Secretary of the Department of Higher Education, and Shri T. K. Anil Kumar, Secretary of the Department of School Education and Literacy, plus other senior officers of the Ministry.
