The Vice-President of India, Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan, released and presented five commemorative books marking four years of President Droupadi Murmu's tenure at Rashtrapati Bhavan on July 28, 2026. The Publications Division, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting published four English-language books: 'Rashtrapati Bhavan: Rashtra Ka Bhavan', 'Seva aur Samvedana', 'Samaveshi Sahbhagita', and 'Bharatiyata Ka Utsav', along with one Odia-language book titled 'Ama Rastrapati Ama Gourav', which is a collection of articles about the President.
President Murmu stated that the books reflect the nation's faith in inclusive democracy and expressed confidence that these illustrated compilations would introduce readers to Rashtrapati Bhavan's traditions, functioning, and multiple facets. She emphasized that their significance lies in inspiring citizens to progress while taking pride in India's heritage. Vice-President Radhakrishnan highlighted several initiatives during President Murmu's tenure, including the renaming of Mughal Gardens to Amrit Udyan, opening of Rashtrapati Niketan and Rashtrapati Tapovan in Dehradun to the public, efforts to make Rashtrapati Bhavan more divyangjan-friendly, and replacing Sir Edwin Lutyens' bust with that of Bharat Ratna Chakravarti Rajagopalachari.
Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs, Dr. L. Murugan, noted that the books capture India's cultural diversity and will serve as important reference works for future generations. The event marked the completion of four years of President Murmu's presidency, which began on July 25, 2022.
