President Droupadi Murmu marked the completion of four years in office (July 25, 2022 - July 25, 2026) by launching several initiatives at Rashtrapati Bhavan on July 28, 2026. The initiatives include the launch of an e-Audio Guide for visitors available in Hindi, English, and 14 other Indian languages with a sign language module; the third edition of e-Upahaar featuring 300 curated Presidential gifts for public auction from August 5 to September 5, 2026; inauguration of Bachpan 'Bal Parisar' including 'Kilkari' play zone and 'Samarth Anganwadi-cum-Palna'; launch of RAAHI (Rashtrapati Bhavan Access And Heritage Interconnector), a fare-free electric bus service operated by women drivers for staff and residents; laying of foundation stone for a service block as part of Net Zero Energy Strategy; and inauguration of accommodation facilities at Rashtrapati Niketan, Dehradun and Rashtrapati Nilayam, Secunderabad along with foundation stone laying for redevelopment of staff quarters.
In a separate function, Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan released publications covering President Murmu's tenure and presented first copies to the President in presence of Dr L. Murugan, Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs. The publications include: Rashtrapati Bhavan: Rashtra Ka Bhavan (first year); Seva Aur Samvedana (second year); Samaveshi Sahbhaghita (third year); Bharatiyata Ka Utsav (fourth year); and Ama Rashtrapati - Ama Gourav, a collection of Odia articles by eminent persons.
President Murmu stated that her focus has been on making Rashtrapati Bhavan a symbol of India's traditions, democratic values, and national ideals, with efforts including unveiling busts, inaugurating memorials, Indianization of State Rooms, and highlighting Indian art. She emphasized encouraging youth to uphold ethical values, women to become self-reliant, tribal communities to preserve cultural heritage while joining mainstream development, and overseas Indians to contribute to India's development.
Vice President Radhakrishnan noted that President Murmu has enriched the office with grace, humility, and constitutional commitment, citing initiatives like Amrit Udyan, opening Rashtrapati facilities to public, Divyangjan-friendly improvements, and release of Constitution in Santhali language as efforts to bring Presidency closer to people while shedding colonial mindset.
