President of India Smt Droupadi Murmu will address the nation on August 14, 2026, on the eve of the 80th Independence Day as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations. The presidential address will be broadcast on the entire national network of Akashvani (radio) starting at 1900 hours and simultaneously telecast on all channels of Doordarshan (television). The Doordarshan broadcast will feature the Hindi version followed by the English version, with regional language versions to be broadcast subsequently by regional Doordarshan channels. Akashvani will broadcast regional language versions of the address at 2130 hours on its respective regional networks.
