Policy Rates and Liquidity
The RBI reported that the overnight money‑market segment recorded a total volume of ₹6,65,304.77 crore with a weighted average rate of 5.30% and a rate range of 4.00‑5.65%. Within this segment, call money volume was ₹19,561.97 crore at 5.39% (range 4.20‑5.55%), triparty repo volume ₹4,55,431.35 crore at 5.30% (range 5.23‑5.60%), market repo volume ₹1,84,881.45 crore at 5.27% (range 4.00‑5.65%), and repo in corporate bonds volume ₹5,430.00 crore at 5.36% (range 5.34‑5.50%).
In the term segment, notice money volume was ₹299.90 crore at 5.32% (range 4.85‑5.40%). Term money volume was ₹131.50 crore with a rate range of 5.55‑7.85%. Term‑segment triparty repo volume was ₹950.00 crore at 5.48% (range 5.30‑5.65%) and market repo volume was ₹2,137.46 crore at 5.27% (range 5.25‑5.50%). No repo in corporate bonds was recorded in the term segment.
Today's repo operation on 25 June 2026 (tenor 4 days, maturing 29 June 2026) amounted to ₹16,800.00 crore at a rate of 5.26%. Reverse repo operations on the same day were conducted for tenors of 1, 2, 3 and 4 days at a uniform rate of 5.50%; amounts were ₹185.00 crore (1‑day), ₹0.00 (2‑day), ₹0.00 (3‑day) and ₹282.00 crore (4‑day). The Standing Deposit Facility (SDF) delta for 25 June 2026 included a 1‑day deposit of ₹1,27,665.00 crore at 5.00%, a 2‑day deposit of ₹0.00, a 3‑day deposit of ₹225.00 crore, and a 4‑day deposit of ₹2,106.00 crore, all at 5.00%.
Banking and Credit
Cash reserves of scheduled commercial banks as on 25 June 2026 stood at ₹8,17,853.71 crore. The average daily cash reserve requirement for the fortnight ending 30 June 2026 was ₹8,01,069.00 crore.
Liquidity Position
Net liquidity injected from today's operations was a withdrawal of ₹1,12,729.00 crore, indicating overall liquidity absorption. Outstanding repo operations as of 23 June 2026 (tenor 7 days, maturing 30 June 2026) amounted to ₹1,41,171.00 crore at 5.26%. The Standing Liquidity Facility (SLF) availed from the RBI amounted to ₹10,754.89 crore. Net liquidity injected from outstanding operations was ₹1,51,925.89 crore, leading to a combined net liquidity injection (including today's operations) of ₹39,196.89 crore.
Government Cash Balance
The Government of India’s surplus cash balance reckoned for auction as on 25 June 2026 was ₹16,800.00 crore. Net durable liquidity (surplus) as on 31 May 2026 was reported at ₹4,86,400.00 crore.
Overall, the RBI’s money‑market data for 25 June 2026 shows substantial activity across overnight and term segments, a modest absorption of liquidity on the day, and a strong cash‑reserve position for scheduled banks, while the government retained a sizable surplus cash balance for auction purposes.
