Eligible participants must submit bids electronically through the RBI Core Banking Solution (E‑Kuber) between 09:30 hours and 10:30 hours on 28 September 2026. In the event of a system failure, physical bids may be submitted in the prescribed form to the Financial Markets Operations Department (email laffmd@rbi.org.in, phone 022‑22630982) before 10:30 hours. The auction result will be announced on the same day, and successful bidders are required to ensure that funds are available in their current account by 12:00 noon on 29 September 2026.

Regulatory and policy measures

The RBI reserves the right to decide the quantum of sale for each individual security, to accept bids for less than the aggregate amount, to sell marginally higher or lower than the aggregate amount due to rounding‑off, and to accept or reject any or all bids, wholly or partially, without assigning any reason.

The announcement reflects RBI’s ongoing liquidity management through open‑market operations, providing market participants with a clear timetable and procedural framework for the upcoming securities auction.
