The RBI released provisional data for April‑July 2026 on India’s trade in services. For July 2026, receipts (exports) of services amounted to US$ 38,253 million, representing a 13.4 % increase over the same month in the previous year. Payments (imports) of services for July were US$ 20,606 million, up 19.1 % year‑on‑year.

In April 2026, service exports were US$ 37,021 million, growing 12.7 % YoY, while imports were US$ 18,417 million, up 8.9 % YoY.

May 2026 saw exports of US$ 33,355 million (‑2.8 % YoY) and imports of US$ 17,637 million (‑5.6 % YoY).

June 2026 figures are not provided in absolute terms; however, the provisional growth rates were 13.3 % for exports and 16.2 % for imports compared with the corresponding month of the previous year.

All figures are provisional and have been revised on the basis of the balance of payments statistics.

The data underscore a continued expansion in both export and import of services, with the import growth rate exceeding that of exports in the latest month, indicating a widening services trade deficit for July 2026.
