The Reserve Bank of India has launched the September 2026 round of its Inflation Expectations Survey of Households (IESH). The survey covers households in 19 cities across the country: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Raipur, Ranchi and Thiruvananthapuram. It seeks qualitative assessments of price movements and quantitative expectations for current, three‑month‑ahead and one‑year‑ahead inflation rates.
M/s Hansa Research Group Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai, has been engaged to conduct the survey on behalf of the RBI. Selected households will be approached by the agency, and they are requested to submit their responses. Households not approached by the agency may also participate by completing the online schedule available on the RBI website and emailing the filled‑in form to the address provided.
