The survey gathers current perceptions and one‑year‑ahead expectations from households in rural and semi‑urban areas across 31 states and union territories on the general economic situation, employment scenario, overall price situation, own income and spending. The RBI states that the results will provide useful inputs for its monetary‑policy formulation, reflecting grassroots sentiment on the rural economy.
