Policy rates and liquidity

The RBI’s overnight money market segment (including Call Money, Triparty Repo, Market Repo and Repo in Corporate Bond) recorded a total one‑leg volume of ₹6,63,371.09 crore. The weighted average rate for the overnight segment was 5.14% with a rate range of 4.50% to 6.25%. Call Money contributed ₹18,401 crore at an average rate of 5.24% (range 4.60%‑5.35%). Triparty Repo volume was ₹4,58,374.40 crore at 5.13% (range 5.02%‑5.48%). Market Repo volume stood at ₹1,79,142.84 crore at 5.15% (range 4.50%‑5.30%). Repo in Corporate Bond amounted to ₹7,452.85 crore at a rate of 5.34% (range 5.25%‑6.25%).

In the term segment, Notice Money volume was ₹734 crore at 5.20% (range 4.70%‑5.27%). Term Money volume was ₹707 crore with a rate band of 5.60%‑5.85% (rate not disclosed). Triparty Repo in the term segment was ₹3,070 crore at 5.16% (range 5.10%‑5.30%). Market Repo was ₹54.90 crore at a flat rate of 5.50%. No Repo in Corporate Bond was recorded for the term segment.

The Marginal Standing Facility (MSF) operation on 15 July 2026 injected ₹5,598 crore at a rate of 5.50% for a one‑day tenor, maturing on 16 July 2026. The Standing Deposit Facility (SDF) injected ₹1,46,366 crore at 5.00% for the same tenor. Net liquidity injected from today’s operations was a negative ₹1,40,768 crore, indicating overall liquidity absorption.

Outstanding liquidity facilities include a Standing Liquidity Facility (SLF) availed from RBI amounting to ₹10,083.82 crore, resulting in a net liquidity injection from outstanding operations of ₹10,083.82 crore. Including today’s operations, the cumulative net liquidity injection (outstanding plus today) was a negative ₹1,30,684.18 crore.

Banking and credit

Cash reserves of scheduled commercial banks as of 15 July 2026 were ₹7,68,613.70 crore. The average daily cash reserve requirement (CRR) for the fortnight ending 15 July 2026 was ₹7,98,115.00 crore.

Financial stability and inclusion

Net durable liquidity, defined as surplus or deficit, was recorded at a surplus of ₹4,99,485.00 crore as of 30 June 2026.
