Money Market Operations
The RBI disclosed that the total overnight money market volume on June 12, 2026 was ₹6,85,828.90 crore, with a weighted average rate of 5.15 % and a rate range of 3.50‑5.40 %.
Break‑down of the overnight segment shows: Call Money volume of ₹14,966.55 crore at 5.27 % (range 4.60‑5.35 %); Triparty Repo volume of ₹4,90,422.15 crore at 5.14 % (range 4.90‑5.35 %); Market Repo volume of ₹1,73,690.90 crore at 5.16 % (range 3.50‑5.40 %); and Repo in Corporate Bond volume of ₹6,749.30 crore at 5.27 % (range 5.25‑5.35 %).
In the term segment, Notice Money stood at ₹1,308.00 crore with a rate of 5.32 % (range 4.90‑5.35 %); Term Money was ₹368.50 crore with a rate band of 6.00‑6.20 %; Triparty Repo volume was ₹5,755.00 crore at 5.37 % (range 5.25‑5.52 %); Market Repo volume was ₹1,197.93 crore at 5.58 % (range 5.40‑5.75 %); and Repo in Corporate Bond recorded zero volume.
Policy Rates and Liquidity
The Marginal Standing Facility (MSF) rates for June 12, 2026 were set at 5.50 % for tenors of one and three days, with amounts of ₹974.00 crore and ₹1,445.00 crore respectively; no operation was conducted for the two‑day tenor.
The Standing Deposit Facility (SDF) rates were 5.00 % for tenors of one, two and three days, with respective amounts of ₹1,54,338.00 crore, ₹90.00 crore and ₹24,037.00 crore.
Net liquidity injected from today’s operations was a withdrawal of ₹1,76,046.00 crore (calculated as Repo + MSF + SLF − Reverse Repo − SDF).
Outstanding operations contributed a net liquidity injection of ₹10,504.79 crore, resulting in an overall net liquidity position (including today’s operations) of a withdrawal of ₹1,65,541.21 crore.
The Standing Liquidity Facility (SLF) availed from the RBI amounted to ₹10,504.79 crore.
Banking and Credit
Cash reserves of scheduled commercial banks as on June 12, 2026 were ₹7,73,041.22 crore. The average daily cash reserve requirement for the fortnight ending June 15, 2026 was ₹7,90,713.00 crore.
Net durable liquidity, reflecting the surplus or deficit after accounting for cash reserves, stood at a surplus of ₹2,65,955.00 crore as of May 15, 2026.
