Policy Rates and Liquidity
The cut‑off yields for the auction were 5.3402 % for the 91‑day bill, 5.5977 % for the 182‑day bill and 5.7393 % for the 364‑day bill. Weighted‑average yields (WAY) were marginally lower at 5.3266 %, 5.5829 % and 5.7249 % respectively. Partial allotment percentages rose with tenor, standing at 70.0669 % for 91‑day, 86.9862 % for 182‑day and 96.4210 % for 364‑day bills.
Capital Markets and Flows
The RBI notified a total of ₹24,000 crore of Treasury Bills (₹9,000 crore 91‑day, ₹8,000 crore 182‑day, ₹7,000 crore 364‑day). Competitive bids were received from 257 participants amounting to ₹63,171.540 crore; 175 bids were accepted, representing ₹23,953.177 crore of the notified amount. The accepted competitive bids were allotted at partial percentages of 70.07 %, 86.99 % and 96.42 % for the three tenors respectively. Non‑competitive bids numbered 16 (8 for 91‑day, 5 for 182‑day, 3 for 364‑day) and totalled ₹22,712.823 crore, all of which were fully accepted.
The auction demonstrates robust demand for government securities across all maturities, with yields reflecting current market conditions.
