Policy rates and liquidity

The RBI notified ₹9,000 crore of 91‑day, ₹8,000 crore of 182‑day and ₹7,000 crore of 364‑day Treasury Bills. The cut‑off yields were 5.2780 % for the 91‑day, 5.5501 % for the 182‑day and 5.6998 % for the 364‑day bills, while the weighted‑average yields were marginally lower at 5.2529 %, 5.5452 % and 5.6837 % respectively.

Capital markets and flows

Competitive bidding attracted 88, 97 and 102 bids for the 91‑, 182‑ and 364‑day issues, amounting to ₹22,102.225 crore, ₹19,947.250 crore and ₹14,560.000 crore, representing 98.70 %, 97.31 % and 94.62 % of the notified amounts. The RBI accepted competitive bids of ₹8,550 crore, ₹7,600 crore and ₹6,650 crore, corresponding to partial allotment percentages of 11.5550 %, 36.5449 % and 21.2500 % respectively.

Non‑competitive bids numbered 14, 5 and 4 for the three tenors, with total amounts of ₹27,245.302 crore, ₹2,116.556 crore and ₹365.824 crore. All non‑competitive bids were accepted, resulting in allotment percentages of 95.1350 %, 96.0255 % and 95.6744 % respectively.

The auction demonstrates robust market participation and confirms the RBI’s ongoing liquidity management through Treasury Bill operations.
