Policy Rates and Liquidity

The RBI notified ₹9,000 crore of 91‑day, ₹8,000 crore of 182‑day and ₹7,000 crore of 364‑day Treasury Bills. Competitive bids received amounted to ₹28,091.245 crore for 91‑day, ₹15,874.000 crore for 182‑day and ₹21,375.000 crore for 364‑day securities. The cut‑off yields were 5.2603 % (91‑day), 5.5678 % (182‑day) and 5.7373 % (364‑day). Weighted‑average yields were marginally lower at 5.2554 %, 5.5488 % and 5.7265 % respectively, reflecting the final pricing after partial allotments of 86.0537 %, 20.3333 % and 66.6000 % of competitive bids.

Capital Markets and Flows

A total of 103, 83 and 98 competitive bids were received for the three tenures, of which 28, 50 and 51 bids were accepted, covering ₹8,550.000 crore, ₹7,600.000 crore and ₹6,650.000 crore respectively. Non‑competitive bids numbered 11, 7 and 4, amounting to ₹10,455.049 crore, ₹1,919.079 crore and ₹370.891 crore; all were accepted with partial allotment percentages of 95.2948 %, 95.4474 % and 94.3674 % respectively. Overall, competitive bids totalled ₹65,340.245 crore and non‑competitive bids ₹12,735.019 crore, indicating robust participation across all maturities.

The auction results demonstrate strong market demand for short‑term government securities, with yields anchored in the mid‑5 % range and high acceptance rates for both competitive and non‑competitive participants.
