The RBI conducted an overnight Variable Rate Reverse Repo (VRRR) auction on 1 September 2026. The notified amount for the auction was ₹4,00,000 crore. Participants submitted offers totaling ₹2,59,846 crore, and the entire amount of ₹2,59,846 crore was accepted. The cut‑off rate for the auction was set at 5.24 per cent, which also became the weighted average rate, indicating that all accepted bids were priced uniformly at this rate. No partial acceptance of offers was reported, as the full amount of offers received was accepted at the cut‑off rate.
