The Banking Laws (Amendment) Act, 2025 redefined the fortnightly reporting period to the 15th and last calendar day of each month, effective 15 December 2025. Data tables incorporate the impact of a non‑bank merger with a bank effective 1 July 2023 (and a subsequent merger on 14 July 2023). The bulletin was prepared by Deputy General Manager Ajit Prasad, Communications.
The statistical release underscores continued growth in deposits and credit despite short‑term fluctuations in liquidity operations, reflecting ongoing expansion of the banking sector’s balance‑sheet and the RBI’s active management of short‑term liquidity.
