The enhanced connectivity is expected to contribute significantly to socio-economic development and improve quality of life in these rural areas while strengthening rural infrastructure in alignment with the government's Viksit Bharat vision.

In addition to these new approvals, the Ministry has previously sanctioned a total of 1,594 road works covering 6,284 kilometers and 66 bridges in Tripura under the PMGSY program, representing an overall investment of ₹4,479 crore.
