The Ministry of Rural Development's Department of Rural Development will participate in Special Campaign 6.0 from October 2 to October 31, 2026, as per guidelines from the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG). The campaign aims to further institutionalize cleanliness and reduce pending matters within the department and its autonomous bodies/organizations.

During the previous Special Campaign 5.0 held from October 2-31, 2025, the department achieved significant disposal rates across various categories: 100% disposal of PMO references, 100% of State References, 100% of IMC matters, 99% of Public Grievances, 96% of MP references, and 80% of Public Grievances Appeals. The campaign also focused on decluttering office space, cleaning common areas, and maintaining office rooms.

The department continued these efforts beyond the campaign period from November 2025 to August 2026, disposing of 124 MP references, 32 Parliament Assurances, 112 IMC References, 62 State Government References, 55,256 Public Grievances, 13 PMO References, and 34 Public Grievances Appeals. Campaign accomplishments were uploaded to the SCDPM Portal of DARPG and promoted on social media to raise awareness.
