The Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment has launched the SETU NSP (Scholarship for Education Transformation and Upliftment National Scholarship Portal) mobile application to streamline scholarship access for eligible students. The app, launched in April 2026, serves as a comprehensive digital platform providing registration, biometric authentication, application submission, and tracking services for Pre-Matric and Post-Matric Scholarships targeting Scheduled Castes and Other Backward Classes beneficiaries.

The application is designed to reduce procedural difficulties by consolidating multiple scholarship-related activities into a single interface, making services more accessible and student-friendly. Beyond student services, the platform also provides digital functionalities for key administrative stakeholders including Institutional Nodal Officers (INOs), District Nodal Officers (DNOs), and State Nodal Officers (SNOs) to support effective processing, monitoring, and management of scholarship applications at various administrative levels.

The SETU NSP App is available for download on both Google Play Store and Apple App Store, representing the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment's ongoing efforts to leverage digital technology for improved public service delivery. The initiative focuses on enhancing transparency, accessibility, and efficiency in scholarship administration while creating a more student-centric scholarship ecosystem through technology-enabled solutions.
