The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment is actively participating in Special Campaign 6.0 from October 2 to October 31, 2026, in collaboration with its attached and subordinate offices. The campaign focuses on institutionalizing Swachhata (cleanliness), reducing pendency in government offices, and improving administrative efficiency while promoting a cleaner work environment.
A special emphasis is placed on effective collection, segregation, and disposal of electronic waste (e-waste) in strict adherence to the E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2022, aiming to promote responsible e-waste management practices and strengthen environmental sustainability across government offices.
The campaign includes focused efforts to clear pending matters relating to references from Members of Parliament, State Governments, and the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), inter-ministerial communications, Parliamentary Assurances, public grievances, and appeals received through the Centralised Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS). These efforts aim to reduce pendency and strengthen accountability in administrative functioning.
Aligned with the Swachh Bharat vision, the Ministry's attached and subordinate organisations are conducting outdoor cleanliness drives to promote cleanliness in and around government establishments and encourage sustainable practices. The preparatory activities for the campaign were undertaken from September 15 to September 30, 2026, prior to the implementation phase.
