Tribal Affairs Ministry Launches Tribal Healers Capacity Building

The Ministry of Tribal Affairs organized a national capacity-building programme for tribal healers in Hyderabad on 16 January 2026 to engage them as community-level health partners.
The Ministry has set an indicative national target to recognize one lakh tribal healers, with 500 invited to the Hyderabad event, including 50 from Maharashtra.
The programme, in collaboration with health and AYUSH ministries, aims to strengthen health outreach in tribal areas through structured training and an ethical SOP.
