The Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Shri Durgadas Uikey provided a detailed response in Lok Sabha regarding the implementation of Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA), disclosing comprehensive beneficiary statistics across Indian states and union territories.

Under the DAJGUA scheme, the Ministry of Tribal Affairs conducts regular inter-ministerial and coordination meetings with line ministries to ensure effective implementation. The ministry holds regular review meetings with respective States/District Authorities and has established a Project Management Unit (PMU) for monitoring purposes. Through the Adi KarmaYogi Abhiyan initiative, the ministry encourages community engagement and involvement. The scheme employs a technology-enabled monitoring system through the PM GatiShakti Portal to track progress in real time as part of its Monitoring and Evaluation Framework.

The annexure data reveals that the scheme covers 10,854,218 Scheduled Tribe households across 63,843 villages, 2,911 blocks, and 549 districts nationwide. Madhya Pradesh has the highest coverage with 1,858,795 ST households across 11,377 villages in 51 districts, followed by Chhattisgarh with 1,103,404 households (6,691 villages, 32 districts) and Rajasthan with 1,076,190 households (6,019 villages, 30 districts). Other states with significant coverage include Gujarat (1,228,970 households), Odisha (1,085,661 households), Jharkhand (967,113 households), and Maharashtra (937,393 households). The northeastern states show substantial tribal coverage with Assam (398,999 households), Meghalaya (199,324 households), and Tripura (181,487 households). Union territories including Ladakh (23,816 households), Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu (28,152 households), and Lakshadweep (1,733 households) are also covered under the scheme.
