The Ministry of Education's Department of Higher Education is facilitating the Yuva Sangam Phase-VI programme under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiative, which aims to promote cultural exchange, experiential learning, and national integration among youth from diverse regions. A delegation from Tripura led by the National Institute of Technology, Agartala was hosted by the National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra from June 4-8, 2026.
The delegation had an interaction with Haryana Governor Prof. Ashim Kumar Ghosh at Lok Bhavan, Chandigarh on June 4, 2026, focusing on leadership, national unity, nation-building, and the importance of embracing India's cultural diversity. The visit included cultural performances by Haryana Kala Parishad and visits to key cultural sites including Kurukshetra Panorama & Science Centre, Sri Krishna Museum, and Bhadrakali Temple in Kurukshetra, concluding with the Light and Sound Show at Jyotisar.
The delegation also visited prominent Chandigarh landmarks including Sukhna Lake, Rock Garden, and Elante Mall. On World Environment Day (June 5, 2026), participants undertook a Plantation Drive and Quiz Competition at NIT Kurukshetra. The program included a visit to ICAR-National Dairy Research Institute at Karnal, followed by exposure visits to a rice mill in Taraori and the historic Taraori Fort, providing insights into agricultural innovation and rural economy.
The Yuva Sangam Phase-VI programme concluded on June 8, 2026, with a valedictory session, continuing to strengthen the spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat by fostering mutual understanding and promoting the values of "Paraspar Sampark, Pragati, and Paryatan" across Indian regions.
