Trump to Urge Xi to Open China

U.S. President Donald Trump announced he will ask Chinese President Xi Jinping to “open up” China to Western businesses during their upcoming summit.
Trump’s three‑day China visit includes a delegation of top CEOs – Jensen Huang (Nvidia), Elon Musk (Tesla), Tim Cook (Apple) and leaders of Blackstone, BlackRock, Boeing, Cargill, Citi, GE Aerospace, Goldman Sachs, Micron, Qualcomm.
The agenda covers trade tariffs, AI cooperation, Taiwan, and the Iran conflict, with analysts noting China’s stronger economy and green‑tech export boost.
The trip, first by a U.S. leader in a decade, was delayed from April to May due to the Iran war and features bilateral meetings, a state banquet and recreational activities.
