Ukrainian Drone Attack on Temryuk Port
On 13 June 2026, a Ukrainian‑launched drone struck the sea terminal in the Russian port city of Temryuk, located in the Krasnodar region, killing one person and igniting a fire at the terminal. Regional governor Veniamin Kondratiev confirmed the strike and the resulting fire but said Russian authorities had not yet disclosed the extent of the damage.
The same port had been targeted in late May when Ukraine’s security service reported a drone strike on a gas terminal at Temryuk. Earlier in the week, Ukraine’s military announced a successful strike on the Afipsky oil refinery in the Krasnodar region, which also caused a fire; Russian officials acknowledged the blaze but attributed it to falling drone debris.
In a separate incident on the same day, authorities in Russia’s Volgograd region reported that a drone attack triggered a fire in an industrial area of the Kotovo district. Regional governor Andrei Bocharov confirmed the fire but did not identify the specific facilities affected or the damage magnitude.
These incidents are part of a broader Ukrainian campaign that has intensified throughout 2026, focusing on Russian energy, fuel and logistics infrastructure after the collapse of cease‑fire efforts and stalled peace negotiations. Recent Ukrainian operations have targeted oil refineries, fuel depots, pumping stations and export terminals across multiple Russian regions, including Crimea.
Russian authorities continue to conduct missile and drone attacks on Ukrainian cities and infrastructure, indicating that the conflict shows little sign of de‑escalation.
