Vice President of India and Chancellor of the University of Delhi, Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan, commended the significant progress made by the University of Delhi under the Nasha Mukt Parisar Abhiyaan (Drug-Free Campus Campaign). The Vice President recalled launching the Drug-Free Campus Campaign and e-pledge platform at the University earlier in 2026, urging students to become ambassadors of a Nasha Mukt Bharat and take a stand against drug abuse.

Through collective efforts, more than 53,000 students have taken the mandatory pledge against drug abuse through the university's initiative. The Vice President emphasized that such initiatives contribute significantly toward building a healthier, stronger, and more prosperous nation.

He called upon universities and educational institutions across India to join this endeavor and encourage their students to actively participate in the campaign. The Vice President stressed that collective action and sustained awareness among youth are essential to realizing the vision of a Drug-Free India. The announcement was made through the Vice President's social media account on June 18, 2026, as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations.
