The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) announced the results of the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2026 conducted from August 21 to August 30, 2026. Candidates who have qualified are now eligible for the Personality Test (Interview) for selection to the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service and other Central Services (Group 'A' and Group 'B').
Candidature is provisional subject to eligibility verification. Qualified candidates must produce original certificates supporting their eligibility claims including age, educational qualifications, community, economically weaker section status, and Person with Benchmark Disability status at the time of interview. Candidates seeking reservation/relaxation benefits must produce original certificates issued by the closing date of the preliminary examination application (February 27, 2026).
Personality Tests will be held at the UPSC Office at Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi-110069, with dates to be notified later. E-Summon Letters will be available for download from the Commission's websites https://www.upsc.gov.in and https://upsconline.nic.in. No paper summon letters will be issued, and no requests for date/time changes will be entertained.
Candidates must update their application details online between November 11, 2026 and November 25, 2026 until 6:00 PM, including educational qualification status, address, higher education details, employment history, and other required information. Failure to update and submit the application will result in cancellation of candidature and no e-Summon Letter will be issued. All qualified candidates must also fill and submit an Attestation Form online through the Department of Personnel & Training website during the interview period.
Final marksheets will be uploaded on the Commission's website within 15 days of final result publication and remain available for 30 days. This content may not be financially relevant.
