US soybean futures fell to $11.78‑3/4 per bushel, a two‑week low, after US‑China summit failed to secure new farm‑goods deals.
Corn and wheat futures also slipped, with corn down 9‑3/4 cents to $4.57‑3/4 and wheat down 21‑3/4 cents to $6.36‑1/4 per bushel.
Traders had hoped China would exceed its existing commitment of 25 million metric tons of US soy annually, but no new deal emerged.
US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer said Washington expects “double‑digit billions” in Chinese purchases of US agricultural products over the next three years.
