The Ministry of Culture is conducting the eighth edition of the PM Mementos e-auction, featuring 27 mementos from Uttarakhand that reflect the state's spiritual heritage and cultural identity. The collection includes gifts presented to the Prime Minister, such as framed artworks, photo prints, temple models, and other keepsakes that showcase Uttarakhand's designation as Devbhoomi (land of the gods).
Four temple models represent revered places of worship, including two models of Shri Kedarnath Dham, a model of Omkareshwar Temple at Ukhimath, and a wooden model of Ganga Ji Mandir at Mukhba. The collection also features a photo print of the four Char Dham shrines (Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri), a framed image of Mansa Devi in Haridwar, a view of Adi Kailash, a representation of Mahasu Devta Temple, and an LED-lit glass memento featuring Kartik Swami Temple.
The cultural artifacts include Aipan folk art appearing on a wall clock and an artwork depicting Maa Durga, along with seven Uttarakhandi/Pahari caps representing regional identity. A badminton racket signed by Uttarakhand's Lakshya Sen is also included in the collection.
Proceeds from the auction will support the Namami Gange Programme, which focuses on the rejuvenation and conservation of the Ganga river. The auction has been extended until October 31, and interested bidders can participate online through the official PM Mementos e-Auction portal at https://pmmementos.gov.in.
