VB-GRAM-G Scheme Nationwide Implementation
The Viksit Bharat–Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) (VB-GRAM-G) Act, 2025 has been fully implemented across all states and union territories, with operational commencement in rural areas throughout India effective July 1, 2026. All states and UTs have notified their respective state schemes in compliance with the Act, marking complete nationwide coverage.
Financial Allocation and Utilization Status
State/UT-wise details of funds allocated and released under VB-GRAM-G since commencement on July 1, 2026 are provided in an annexure, though specific amounts are not detailed in this document. Utilization of funds and release of payments will be processed by states after closure of Muster Rolls and subsequent generation of Fund Transfer Orders (FTOs), indicating that no funds have been utilized yet given the recent implementation date.
Implementation Review and Support Mechanisms
The Central Government, through the Ministry of Rural Development, maintains continuous review of state and UT preparedness through weekly review meetings and additional sessions chaired by the Minister for Rural Development and Secretary, Rural Development. These reviews have resulted in ongoing hand-holding and technical support provided by the Ministry, enabling all states/UTs to successfully commence scheme implementation. The Ministry maintains continuous engagement through regular review meetings, consultations, and other appropriate forums to facilitate effective implementation, with suggestions from states/UTs during review meetings and written communications being duly noted.
