The President of India has appointed Shri Vinai Kumar Saxena, the current Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, to additionally discharge the functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir. This additional charge is effective during the absence on leave of the incumbent Jammu and Kashmir LG, Shri Manoj Sinha. The arrangement ensures administrative continuity in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir while its regular LG is on leave.
