WCD Ministry Launches 8th Poshan Pakhwada Focused on Early Childhood Development

Ministry of WCD launches 8th Poshan Pakhwada from April 9-23, 2026 with theme 'Maximizing Brain Development in First Six Years of Life'.
Campaign builds on 150 crore sensitization activities and 9.8 crore community events conducted since Poshan Abhiyaan's 2018 launch.
Over 4.2 lakh stakeholders participated via live telecast through NIC Webcast and Ministry's YouTube channel.
Focus areas include maternal nutrition, breastfeeding, play-based education, and reducing screen time through 14 lakh Anganwadi centers serving 8.9 crore beneficiaries.
