The Ministry of Women and Child Development, including all its Autonomous/Statutory Bodies, is implementing Special Campaign 6 from October 2-31, 2026, focused on improving Swachhata (cleanliness) and disposal of pending references. As part of the campaign implementation, the Ministry has directed States and Union Territories to undertake daily cleanliness drives at field-level institutions, ensure effective public grievance redressal through organizing Grievance Redressal Chaypal/e-Chaupals, and document and upload all activities on the different Mission portals of the Ministry.
A virtual meeting was convened on October 26, 2026, at 5:00 PM under the chairmanship of the Secretary (WCD) with States and UTs to review campaign activities. The meeting saw participation from all Additional Secretaries/Joint Secretaries and Directors/Deputy Secretaries dealing with the Ministry's schemes, along with 109 officers from States and UTs. The Secretary directed all States/UTs to issue directions to concerned officers for undertaking the specified activities in all field institutions and upload details on respective Mission portals. States/UTs were also advised to publish and share daily infographics and tweets through state government social media handles highlighting activities undertaken, while tagging the Ministry's official social media handles.
A dedicated special one-day event has been scheduled for October 30, 2026, where States/UTs are required to undertake the campaign activities on a large scale with active participation of field-level functionaries and the community. The Secretary specifically urged States/UTs to ensure that all pending grievances on POSHAN Tracker, PMMVY, and CPGRAMS portals are resolved on a war footing by October 30, 2026, through organizing Grievance Redressal Chaupal/e-Chaupals.
