The 16th Pension Adalat was chaired by Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science & Technology, Earth Sciences and Minister of State for PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space on May 13, 2026.
985 cases pertaining to 37 Ministries and Departments were considered, all pending for more than 45 days as of April 15, 2026.
728 cases (74% of total grievances) were resolved on the spot during the Pension Adalat.
A follow-up meeting held on May 27, 2026 with stakeholders including banks resulted in 85% overall redressal rate.

Payment of Rs. 74 lakh to a 90-year-old Family Pensioner whose pension was not revised as per the 7th Pay Commission
Grant of monthly Family Pension and release of arrears amounting to Rs. 21.91 lakh to spouse of Indian Army Veteran
Payment of Disability Pension arrears of Rs. 46.38 lakh and commencement of monthly Pension to Indian Army Personnel
Revision of monthly Family Pension and release of arrears amounting to Rs. 55.50 lakh to Family Pensioner
Sanction and payment of Post-Retirement benefits including Family Pension arrears amounting to Rs. 21,70,028 to spouse of Government Servant
Payment of Disability Pension arrears amounting to Rs. 17 lakh to Defence Personnel
Receipt of GPF final payment of Rs. 11.79 lakh to CRPF Personnel retired under VRS
Receipt of arrears of Family Pension amounting to Rs. 13.17 lakh along with commencement of monthly pension by spouse of Army Personnel
Department of Pension and Pensioners' Welfare (DoPPW) is launching Special Campaign 3.0 in July 2026 to address long pending grievances received in physical form.
