Bharat Coking Coal Ltd reports a fatal accident at its Moonidih Washery on May 2, 2026, during slurry loading operations.
Four contract workers were trapped and killed by a sudden slurry slide at Heap No. C around 5:00 PM.
The incident has been reported to authorities under the Factories Act, 1948, and rescue efforts were immediately undertaken.
Company states no significant production impact is expected as the washery is currently under renovation.
