Bharti Airtel Limited has made a disclosure to the National Stock Exchange of India Limited and BSE Limited pursuant to Regulation 30 read with Clause 20 of Para A of Part A of Schedule III of SEBI Listing Regulations.

The company received a notice from the Department of Telecommunications, Andhra Pradesh LSA (DoT) on July 16, 2026 at 16:43 IST. The notice imposes a penalty of ₹6,59,000 for alleged violation of subscriber verification norms under the License Agreement.

The violation relates to the Customer Application Form Audit (CAF Audit) conducted by DoT for April 2026. The audit alleged that the company failed to ensure adequate verification of customers before enrolling them as subscribers, contrary to the licensing terms and conditions and instructions issued by DoT.

The maximum financial impact is quantified to the extent of the penalty amount of ₹6,59,000. The company has opted to pay the penalty and not contest it.
