Investigation Details
The investigation concerns anti-dumping of "Borosilicate Table and Kitchen Glassware" originating in or exported from China PR. The investigation was initiated pursuant to an application filed by Borosil Limited as the domestic industry.
DGTR Findings
The DGTR examination concluded that:
- Subject goods from China PR have been exported to India at dumped prices
- Dumping margins are positive and significant
- Borosil Limited is the sole producer of the like article in India and constitutes the domestic industry
- Dumped imports from China PR have materially retarded the establishment of the domestic industry
- Imposition of anti-dumping duty is not against public interest
Recommended Action
Having regard to the lesser-duty rule, the DGTR has recommended imposition of anti-dumping duty on imports of the subject goods originating in or exported from China PR for a period of five (5) years from the date of notification to be issued by the Central Government.
