The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved the merger of Chess Merger Sub, a Coursera subsidiary, with and into Udemy Inc.
Upon completion, Coursera stockholders will own 59% and Udemy stockholders 41% of the combined company, with Udemy surviving as a Coursera subsidiary.
The transaction involves global online learning platforms, with Coursera operating in India through Coursera India Private Limited.
