CCI Approves Acquisition of FMC India by Crystal Crop Protection
The Competition Commission of India has granted approval for the acquisition of 100% shareholding of FMC India Private Limited by Crystal Crop Protection Limited. The proposed combination involves the complete acquisition of FMC India on a fully diluted basis by Crystal Crop from FMC Netherlands Holdings II B.V. and its affiliates.
Crystal Crop Protection Limited is a public limited company incorporated in India in 1994 that engages in the development, manufacture, and distribution of crop protection products, seeds, and agricultural equipment. Its crop protection portfolio includes herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, seed treatment products, and plant health and nutrition solutions.
FMC India Private Limited is a private limited company incorporated in 2000 under Indian laws and operates as an agrochemical company engaged in manufacturing and marketing crop protection products. Its product range includes insecticides, herbicides, fungicides, seed treatment, and plant health and nutrition products. FMC India belongs to the FMC Corporation group, which through its subsidiaries and affiliates worldwide, develops, manufactures, markets, and sells crop protection products.
