The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved the amalgamation of Go Digit Infoworks Services Private Limited with its subsidiary Go Digit General Insurance Limited, with Go Digit General Insurance Limited being designated as the surviving entity. This corporate restructuring was approved on July 28, 2026, as announced by PIB Delhi.

Go Digit Infoworks Services Private Limited is described as the holding company of Go Digit General Insurance Limited and is not currently engaged in any market-facing business activities in India or internationally. Go Digit General Insurance Limited is a public limited company incorporated in India that provides various types of general and health insurance products and services in India, with a specialized focus on general insurance.

The approval notice mentions that Fairfax Asia Limited (FAL), a Mauritius-based investment holding company focused on long-term investments across Asia including India, is part of the Fairfax group. FAL holds a Global Business Licence from the Financial Commission of Mauritius but does not conduct any other business activities. The ultimate parent entity, Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited, is primarily engaged in property and casualty insurance and reinsurance through its subsidiaries.

The CCI has indicated that a detailed order regarding this amalgamation approval will follow this initial announcement. The restructuring appears to simplify the corporate structure within the Fairfax group's Indian insurance operations by eliminating the holding company layer.
