CSTC to Pay PF Balance, 6% Interest

Petitioner: Luna Das, retired employee of Calcutta State Transport Corporation (CSTC), retired on 30 November 2025.

The court directs the Managing Director of CSTC to consider and release the balance PF amount to the petitioner.
The balance PF amount shall be paid with simple interest at 6% per annum calculated from the retirement date (30 Nov 2025) until actual payment, within twelve weeks of this order.
The gratuity amount shall also attract simple interest at 6% per annum from the retirement date until actual payment.
If the amount is not disbursed within the twelve‑week period, an additional 2% interest (total 8% per annum) will accrue on the due amount from the retirement date until payment.
The writ petition is disposed of; parties are to act on the server copy of this order, and an urgent certified copy can be obtained upon compliance with formalities.
