Cummins India Receives GST Penalty Order ₹52.56 Cr

Cummins India received a GST order levying tax demand of ₹52.55 crore and penalty of ₹52.56 crore for FY2019-22.
The order was issued by Additional Commissioner CGST, Pune-II under Section 74 of the CGST Act for alleged misclassification of leave and license agreements.
The company has stated the penalty has no material financial or operational impact and will file an appeal with the appropriate authority.
