Darjeeling Industriies Limited has received formal approval from the Central Government for shifting its registered office from the State of Maharashtra to the State of Gujarat. The approval was granted through the Regional Director, Western Region – I, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, vide order dated 2nd September, 2026, which was received by the company on the same date.
The application was filed under Section 12(5) & 13(4) of the Companies Act, 2013 read with Rule 28 and 30 of the Companies (Incorporation) Rules, 2014, via SRN AC2649998 dated 14th March, 2026. The stated reason for the shift was "Management convenience."
This approval follows the board resolution dated 28th July, 2025 and subsequent shareholder approval obtained at the Annual General Meeting held on 19th August, 2025.
The company's new registered office and corporate office address is now Krishna Complex, ARK 203, Nr. Suvidha Hospital, Uni. Road, Rajkot, Gujarat, India, 360005. The previous registered office was at 104, Floor-1, Shreeji Darshan, Tata Road No. 2, Roxy Cinema Opera House, Girgaon, Mumbai, Maharashtra, 400004.
The order includes conditions that a copy must be filed with the Registrar of Companies, Mumbai within 30 days of the order date. The jurisdictional ROC will change from Registrar of Companies, Maharashtra, Mumbai to Registrar of Companies, Gujarat, Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
