DGFT Augments Norms Committees with 10 New Members

Ministry of Commerce reforms DGFT Norms Committees to expedite Advance Authorisation applications.
Added 10 technical members, increasing total from 12 to 22 to address capacity constraints.
Held 38 meetings, took up 3,925 cases and disposed 1,770 cases between Jan-Apr 2026.
Aims to reduce transaction costs and enhance export competitiveness, particularly for MSMEs.
