DIC India received a GST demand order of ₹2.81 lakhs for alleged duplicate e-way bill generation from FY 2019-20 to 2021-22.
The demand comprises tax of ₹1.4 lakhs and an equal penalty, plus applicable interest, as per an order from the GST Superintendent.
The company is reviewing the order with consultants and will decide on the next steps, stating no other financial or operational impact.
