The High Court of Orissa (Cuttack) in W.P.(C) No.23457 of 2024, hearing petitioner Janakar Patra against the Union of India and others, ordered Mr. Souvik Saha, Workshop Personnel Officer, Carriage Repair Workshop, Mancheswar, East Coast Railway, to appear before the court at 2:30 PM on 15 July 2026 to recompute the employee’s terminal benefits based on the post held at retirement. If the recomputation is completed before the deadline, the personal appearance will be waived; otherwise, coercive action may be taken.
