Italy’s antitrust authority opened a probe on Monday into Fastweb and Telecom Italia’s joint 5G infrastructure and network‑sharing agreement.
The firms announced a preliminary January deal to share mobile networks and accelerate 5G rollout in Italy’s less densely populated regions.
Fastweb operates as the Italian arm of Swisscom, while Telecom Italia trades under the ticker BIT, and the probe deadline is April 2027.
