FTC Chairman Andrew N. Ferguson sent letters to over a dozen tech firms urging compliance with the Take It Down Act by May 19.
The law, signed by President Donald J. Trump with First Lady Melania Trump, mandates platforms to remove non‑consensual intimate images within 48 hours.
Companies named include Amazon, Alphabet, Apple, Meta, Microsoft, Pinterest, Snapchat, TikTok and X, all must provide clear notice and removal process.
