Gufic Biosciences' tax demand was reduced from Rs. 11.88 crore to Rs. 11.76 lakh after an appeal to the Income Tax Department.
A penalty of Rs. 23.52 lakh was levied for under-reported income for Assessment Year 2023-24.
The company is evaluating the order and may file further appeals based on tax advisor recommendations.
