Indo Engineering Seeks Regular Arbitration vs RINL

Petition for Special Leave to Appeal (C) No.24388/2026 filed by M/S Indo Engineering Works against Rashtiya Ispat Nigam Ltd (RINL) and others, arising from the impugned final judgment and order dated 08-05-2025 in WA No.716/2022 of the High Court of Andhra Pradesh at Amravati.
The matter was heard before Hon’ble Justices J.B. Pardiwala and K. Vinod Chandran on 24-07-2026.
Counsel for the petitioner, Ms. Swati Surbhi (Advocate‑on‑Record), reiterated that the client is ready and willing to proceed with regular arbitration rather than through the Facilitator under the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Act, 2006, consistent with the Court’s earlier order dated 17-07-2026.
Respondent No.2 (Union of India) was represented by Additional Solicitor General Mr. K. Nataraj. Respondent No.3 appeared through counsel Mr. Dhruv Mehta. Respondents No.1 and No.4 were duly served by dasti service but were not present before the Court.
The Court’s earlier order (17-07-2026) had: (1) condoned delay, (2) recorded the petitioner’s willingness for regular arbitration, (3) directed issuance of notice returnable on 24-07-2026, and (4) permitted dasti service.

The Court issued a final opportunity, directing that the required notice be posted by 13-08-2026, after which further proceedings may continue.
